Brush fire on Renton Rd and Sardis Rd contained

The Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department responded to a large brush fire near Renton Road and Sardis Road on Friday during a wind storm. Units 236-Engine, 236-Utility, and 236-ATV assisted the Renton Volunteer Fire Department in containing and extinguishing the fire.

The 236-ATV is equipped for brush fires in areas inaccessible to standard engines, carrying a 70-gallon water and 5-gallon AFFF foam unit capable of flowing 200 GPM. The operation was led by Incident Command 234-Chief with support from UNITY VFD, Logans Ferry Heights Volunteer Fire Department, Penn Hills VFD Station 223, Plum EMS, and Plum Borough Police Department
