Fire damages two-family home on Syracuse’s North Side

Syracuse, N.Y. – A fire Saturday morning damaged a two-family home on Syracuse’s North Side.

Firefighters were dispatched to the residence at 1900 Lodi St. just before 9:50 a.m., according to Syracuse Deputy Fire Chief James Farewell. He said the response was slightly delayed by roads closed for the St. Patrick’s Parade.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered fire coming out of a first-floor window, Farewell said. They found fire in a room at the back of the home as well as heavy smoke throughout the building…
