APD Seeks Help Identifying Teens In Northeast Austin Car Theft

Austin police are asking for the public’s help identifying three young suspects after a vehicle was reported stolen in Northeast Austin. The car was taken from the 11300 block of Bachman Drive, and the victim told officers a purse was left inside with a wallet, credit cards, and important documents. Investigators say surveillance video later captured three people using the stolen credit cards at a gas station in the 1800 block of Dessau Road.

What police say

“Officers responded at approximately 10:26 a.m. on Feb. 27 to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 11300 block of Bachman Drive,” Austin police said, as reported by KEYE. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage showing three suspects using the victim’s stolen credit cards at the gas station in the 1800 block of Dessau Road, and detectives released detailed clothing descriptions in hopes someone would recognize them.
