DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines man received the maximum sentence after a shooting that killed one person in September 2024.
Kyonta Lavon Taylor, 26, pleaded guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter, Assault While Participating in a Felony – Causing Serious Injury, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm in January 2026.
