Data centers are often the talk of the town, with packed meetings and plenty of frustration to go around.
“You need to get your residents at the table to have a say in what they want for their own towns,” said Aubree Derksen of Pine Island, who’s opposed to a proposed data center in her town. “You can’t just have a company come in and say, we think this is good for the town. What do the residents want?”
