SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has announced numerous road closures in Salt Lake City and Ogden over the coming weeks due to construction projects, with detours and delays expected.
North Temple
North Temple from 1940 West to 2200 West will be completely closed starting at 8 p.m. on Friday and remain closed through the morning hours of Sunday.
Detours will be posted for drivers to follow, and driveways east of I-215 will be maintained. Motorists are encouraged to follow traffic control devices and flaggers. Additionally, a bus bridge will operate in place of the UTA TRAX Green Line while the roads are closed.
California Avenue
Starting on Friday at 10 p.m. and lasting until Saturday at 10 a.m., the southbound I-215 will be reduced to one lane near I-80, just south of California Avenue. The southbound I-215 off-ramp at California Avenue will also be fully closed.
Following this closure, California Avenue under I-215 will be completely closed from March 20 at 10 p.m. to March 21 at 6 a.m. While the on-and off-ramps at California Avenue will remain open, left-turn movements at the interchange will be prohibited.
1700 South
Bridges over 1700 South are being rehabilitated, and as a result, the road will be fully closed from March 23 at 10 p.m. through March 24 at 6 a.m. Drivers should expect various detours and delays.
I-15 in Ogden
As crews install steel beams for a new bridge at 2200 South, I-15 will be closed near 4400 South and the Ogden-Hinckley Airport from Friday evening to Saturday evening…
