Private security rises at Oregon worship sites after attacks

EUGENE, Ore. – Religious institutions across the U.S. are turning to private security measures in response to recent attacks on places of worship. In Oregon, religious groups are ramping up security to ensure the safety of their congregations.

Jeremy Iskowitz, a Jewish student at the University of Oregon, emphasized the importance of increased security.

“So we’re very fortunate that both organizations already pay for private security Both organizations are in constant contact with the university police department and things like that,” said Iskowitz. “So you know thankfully, it’s already been discussed in the past in terms of security, but it’s awful.
