Sláinte! Raise a Glass at Arizona’s Most Lively Pub

I don’t know about you, but I love a good Irish pub. What’s not to love about the festive yet warm and inviting ambiance, live Irish music, traditional Irish food, and Irish beer, cider, and whiskey? Irish pubs are often family-friendly, so you can (almost) always take the kids along. I’ve been to Ireland twice and have been to many Irish pubs there and in other European countries, as well as around the U.S., and they are among my favorite places for an evening out. My resident state of Arizona has an abundance of pubs, and I’ve been to quite a few over the years. If you live in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend Tim Finnegan’s Irish Restaurant & Pub. Located in Glendale, this might be the liveliest pub in Arizona for an afternoon or an evening out.

Located at Glendale Market Square at N 59th Ave. and Bell Road, just a few miles off the 101 freeway, Tim Finnegan’s is a cozy Irish pub with a lively atmosphere. For a fun afternoon or evening out, this is a great community gathering spot that will make anyone feel right at home.

The interior of Tim Finnegan’s is incredibly cozy, with wood accents and wood tables and chairs throughout. It reminds me of some of the Irish pubs I visited in Ireland and makes me want to go back to the Emerald Isle. The green lighting at the bar also adds to the ambiance.

If you’re a beer drinker, you’ll find a variety of ales, stouts, and lagers like Guinness, Smithwicks Red Ale, Kilkenny, or Harp Lager from Ireland. If there’s one country that makes a great beer, it’s undoubtedly Ireland! So, grab a pint with your mates, and say “Slainté” (which translates to “good health”) as you clink glasses; it’s what the Irish do, after all!

If you’re not a beer drinker, how about whiskey? Jameson Irish Whiskey has been produced in Ireland since 1780, first in Dublin and now in Midleton, County Cork. So, do you take your whiskey neat, on the rocks, or mixed with water or ginger ale?

Hungry? What would a proper Irish pub be without Guinness alongside fish and chips? While this is a classic pairing, the menu is filled with many other classic Irish dishes as well as variations. For example, not only does the menu offer shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and an Irish breakfast, but corned beef & cabbage taquitos, corned beef sliders, and Bavarian pretzels with Guinness mustard. Regardless of your meal, it’s all comfort food!

At Tim Finnegan’s, you can indulge in great food and drinks, enjoy Irish hospitality, and attend events like its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Join in the fun starting at 7:30 a.m. on March 17th with food, green beer, and live music. So, don your best St. Patty’s Day t-shirt, grab your friends, and head to Tim Finnegan’s!

So, slainté! Let’s raise a glass of Guinness or Irish whiskey and cheers to our health at Tim Finnegan’s Restaurant & Pub in Glendale.
