Highway 410 closure causes miles of backups as skiers try to get to Crystal Mountain

ENUMCLAW, Wash. — Traffic backed up for miles Friday morning through Enumclaw along Highway 410 after the highway shutdown due to the winter storm.

Highway 410 leads to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, and with fresh snowfall, hundreds of skiers and snowboarders were trying to get to the slopes.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) closed the highway Friday morning between Enumclaw and Greenwater because of heavy snow and fallen trees. The same portion of highway had to be closed down for part of the day on Thursday due to fallen trees…
