Driver kills 2 while fleeing law enforcement

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two people are dead after a crash that stemmed from someone fleeing from law enforcement in Columbus on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 3:41 p.m., Columbus police encountered a Toyota Prius that was linked to a shooting that occurred in the city on March 10. Officers had an arrest warrant for a 17-year-old in relation to the shooting, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Police attempted to pull the vehicle over, but it fled and ran a stop sign before colliding with a Saturn Ion near East 19th Avenue and Hamilton Avenue. The passenger of the Ion was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was taken to a hospital, where they died…
