Arrest on Glen Street for drug and traffic offenses

On March 6, 2026, around 11:40 PM, the Alfred Village Police Department arrested 35-year-old Tyrone Young Jr. of Rochester, NY after a traffic stop on Glen Street in the Village of Alfred. Police say Young was driving without a valid license and suspected of being under the influence of drugs.

During the arrest, officers reportedly found about 74 grams of cocaine, 38 grams of Molly (ecstasy), several oxycodone pills, and some marijuana, along with scales and packaging materials. Young was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, along with several traffic violations.
