Elizabethtown police are asking the public for any information about a crash early Sunday after the driver killed himself before police could speak with him.
Around 1:59 a.m., police saw a dark-colored Ford F-150 with a temporary Georgia plate traveling west on West High Street without its lights on. Smoke or steam was coming from the truck and the operator was driving erratically, police said.
Police tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the truck continued driving for around a half mile before it pulled over in the 700 block of West Bainbridge Street. The driver shot himself before police could approach the vehicle, police said…
