First Alert Forecast: stormy skies, cold temps maintain three First Alert Weather Days

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – After a completely settled Saturday, Sunday opens a suite of First Alert Weather Days. Amid an increasingly balmy and energetic southeast breeze, stay aware for a growing risk for a passing shower or stray stronger storm.

Ahead of the next sharp March cold front, Monday also remains a First Alert Weather Day. Strong southerly winds will regularly gust from the 30s to the 50s mph, and intervals of warm sun will aid in the generation of scattered showers and storms which could further focus that wind energy. While severe weather, including damaging gusts and tornadoes, is not a 100% proposition, the risk is high enough that you’ll definitely want your WECT Weather App set to your location in case official NWS bulletins need to find you… and you need to take action.
