A neighborhood near 71st and Glendale avenues was rattled Saturday evening after police say a husband shot his wife in the leg outside their home, then took off before officers arrived.
Glendale police say the argument broke out just after 6 p.m., escalating in seconds from shouting to gunfire. The couple’s adult son tried to pull his mother back into the house to break up the fight, but the shot was fired anyway, according to Arizona’s Family. Officers found the woman with a gunshot wound to her leg, and the husband had already fled in a vehicle. He had not been found at the time of publication.
