Hendersonville police shoot man in armed encounter, city says

A man was taken to the hospital March 15 after being shot by police in Hendersonville.

The City of Hendersonville said in a March 15 news release that the man “approached” officers with a knife after they responded to a 911 call made around 3 p.m. from the Hebron Terrace Apartments at 609 Hebron Road.

The person was taken to Mission Hospital and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations is looking into the incident, in accordance with standard officer-involved shooting policy, according to the release…
