Final Defendant Convicted in Deadly 2023 Bradenton Robbery Attempt, Gets Life Sentence

BRADENTON, Fla. — A Manatee County jury has convicted Tyreak Allen of first-degree felony murder and attempted robbery for his role in a 2023 robbery that left a man dead.

Florida State Attorney Ed Brodsky announced that Allen was found guilty following a jury trial held March 9–11, 2026, at the Manatee County Courthouse. He was sentenced immediately after the verdict to life in prison for felony murder and 20 years in prison for attempted robbery, to run concurrently.

The charges stem from an incident on January 23, 2023, when Allen and several accomplices attempted to rob 23-year-old James Jackson Jr. at a residence in the 100 block of 10th Avenue West in Bradenton.
