Erie County Fair announces 2026 pie competition details

The Erie County Fair is celebrating Pi Day by highlighting its Culinary Arts competitions. In 2026, the pie class will feature three classic double-crust American heirloom fruit pies: cherry, apple, and blueberry. Bakers of all skill levels are invited to participate.

The competitions also include cookies, cakes, breads, and specialty confections. New this year, entries can celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with Americana-themed cake and cookie decorating or historical recipes like shoofly pie. Entry registration opens April 1 at www.ecfair.org/culinaryarts
