DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A Dorchester County woman who was in custody for identity fraud escaped at a hospital in North Charleston Sunday.
The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said that 32-year-old Lauren Ashley Thrower was receiving medical treatment at HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital when she escaped custody and entered a white Volvo at a nearby Dunkin Donuts on University Boulevard. She was in custody for identity fraud and has two holds, one from Probation and Parole and another from Goose Creek, DCSO added.
