Detroit youth can now sign up for summer jobs as the City of Detroit opens the application portal for the 2026 Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT) program.
The program connects Detroit residents ages 14 to 24 with paid summer work opportunities across the city. Participants can be placed with local businesses, community organizations, corporate partners, and various City departments.
Up to 8,000 young people could take part in the six-week program this year. The goal is to give teens and young adults early job experience while helping them build workplace and career skills.…
