1 of 3 involved in espresso machine theft sentenced, owes victim $24k

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — One of three people who were charged in the theft of an espresso machine from a local coffee shop received his sentence.

38-year-old Ryan Diederich was given a 365-day-long sentence after pleading guilty. All of those days were suspended except for two days. He received jail credit for one, and will serve 363 days on probation.

He was originally charged with theft, where the value of the property is between $750 & $50k, and obstruction of justice, both Level 6 felonies. He pleaded guilty to the theft charge, and the obstruction of justice charge was dropped…
