The Central Valley Water Board is thinking about closing the cleanup case for the Former Imperial Laundry site at 2165 South Elm Avenue in Fresno. This property, now home to the Maxie L. Parks Community Center, was once a dry-cleaning business from the 1940s to 1970s. After several years of testing, the Board found that any leftover chemicals in the soil and groundwater are below safety limits and don’t pose a health risk.
