Guntersville city councilman Jason Jones announces plans to resign

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A Guntersville city councilman announced plans to resign earlier this week.

Jason Jones, who represents District 4, announced on Monday that he intends to resign from the role. He will remain in the position until the summer.

“Despite my intent to remain on council for as long as District 4 wanted me to serve, a range of factors, both personal and professional in nature, have led to my decision to accept a career opportunity which requires me to move out of district and ultimately resign from my position as Councilman,” Jones wrote in a social media post…
