KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued Sunday evening, which includes the following counties in West Michigan through 2 a.m.:
- Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph and Branch County
Several counties were trimmed from the warning early following several hours on non-severe storms and rain.
The watch was issued ahead of an expected line of storms set to arrive closer to 8 p.m. in West Michigan. The main window of opportunity for severe storms locally is from about 8 p.m. to midnight.
Damaging wind gusts in excess of 70 mph will be possible within the strongest storms tonight. An isolated tornado threat is very low, but can’t be completely ruled out…
