Savannah, GA – A broad stretch of eastern Georgia, including coastal and inland communities, could see strong to severe thunderstorms Monday as a cold front sweeps east, bringing a risk of damaging wind gusts, hail and isolated tornadoes from Augusta to Savannah.
According to the National Weather Service in Atlanta, the severe threat may linger into the early afternoon for areas along and southeast of Interstate 85, while the Storm Prediction Center places much of eastern Georgia in a tornado risk zone Monday.
