One of the best parts about living in Amarillo is the sense of pride in the community. It extends from the residents to the business owners to the city itself. Highlighting things people in the city are doing has always been something we’ve been good at as a community.
The City of Amarillo is also good about showcasing its residents through certain initiatives and projects, and they’re doing it once again in 2026.
Every Drop Calendar Returns
It’s one of the coolest calendars you’ll find anywhere, and it’s because it’s resident-driven. To narrow it down a bit, it’s targeted at the kids of Amarillo to show off their artistic skills. The “Every Drop Counts” calendar is back, and it’s time to start thinking about what to draw up.
The calendar is designed to showcase the importance of water and water conservation, but rather than just a bland calendar with facts, this one breathes life and color, all from a child’s eyes.
Registration Rules & Info
Students from kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible to participate in the contest. They’ll draw up or paint their best artwork wrapped around water and water conservation, then submit it to the city. There will be a vote on the best renditions, and the top 13 will be selected, with the 13th being the cover of the calendar…
