Activists say dogs taken from Ridglan Farms; sheriff says arrests made

BLUE MOUNDS, Wis. (WMTV) – Animal rights activists say they entered the Ridglan Farms facility in Dane County on Sunday and removed dogs from the property during what they describe as a rescue effort.

Members of the Coalition to Save the Ridglan Dogs said more than 100 people entered the facility in Blue Mounds and took 23 dogs from the property.

Sheriff: Protesters illegally entered property

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a call reporting 50 to 60 protesters illegally entering private property at the facility.

Authorities said they have been in contact with the group and are taking several people into custody as the situation is resolved…
