Parts of south St. Louis under boil advisory after water main break

ST. LOUIS — The precautionary boil advisory was issued for parts of south St. Louis following a water main break Sunday morning.

According to the City of St. Louis Water Division, the advisory is in effect until further notice for the Lindenwood Park, Northhampton and St. Louis Hills neighborhoods due to low water pressure caused by a broken 20-inch water main.

The Water Division said it has not detected any contamination in the water supply, and the advisory was issued out of an abundance of caution. Water samples will be analyzed before determining when to lift the advisory, and text results should be available in 24 hours, or on Monday morning…
