Wichita man killed in hit-and-run crash, sheriff’s office looking for suspect vehicle

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect’s vehicle in connection to a deadly hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning near the zoo.

Shortly after midnight, first responders were called to a report of a pickup truck that hit a pedestrian in the 5800 block of W. Windmill Rd. Witnesses had stopped to assist and called 911 after the pickup left the scene.

The sheriff’s office says the pedestrian, a 29-year-old man from Wichita, died from his injuries at the scene…
