ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – You’ve probably seen them around town, free little libraries where you take a book, then leave a book. But who’s behind the program?
For the last several years, Tim West has combined his love of building with a passion for literature. “I love building them, you know. I honestly do,” he exclaimed. “I think it’s awesome when I see kids run up to the library and grab a book out of it, you know, it’s just, it’s very special.”
West is part of the free little library movement, and you’ve probably seen one of his many creations around town.
It all started in 2019, when Tim’s partner asked him to build one for their home. One quickly turned into three and it’s safe to say the rest was history, prompting the start of his business: Unique Little Libraries…
