Shane and Lara Hammett say they now have a 52 minute commute to be exact from Incline Village to Midtown Reno where their new Sage Leaf restaurant, trying to build upon their Tahoe success, is located appropriately enough on 650 Tahoe street.
“Right now it’s just a difficult time,” Lara Hammett says of this new venture. “But we know that’s what it takes and that’s what it took when we opened the restaurant in Incline. It’s time away from each other, even though we’re together, time away from our children… time away from the things we like to do. But nothing that’s worth having is not going to be hard.”
After six years of running their Incline location, this new location, at about 3,200 square feet, is triple the size they are normally used to operating. Moving into the previous Laughing Planet location, the Hammetts have remodeled the new space into a more luxurious, sleek, and modern vibe…
