Lee County EMA activates safer locations during Monday morning tornado watch

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) — The Lee County Emergency Management Agency has activated several locations for East Alabama residents to shelter in place due to incoming severe weather.

A tornado watch was issued on Monday, March 16 at 3:11 a.m. for the following areas:

  • Barbour County
  • Bullock County
  • Chambers County
  • Clay County
  • Cleburne County
  • Lee County
  • Macon County
  • Pike County
  • Randolph County
  • Russell County
  • Tallapoosa County
