Thousands of power outages reported as high winds sweep Western New York

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) – Heavy winds Sunday night and into early Monday morning have caused widespread power outages across Western New York.

According to National Grid’s outage map, more than 7,000 customers across Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee and Allegany counties are without power, as of 8:30 a.m.
