Evansville Forest Alliance begins 2026 park planting series

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville Forest Alliance kicks off its 2026 planting series in Garvin and Jacobsville Park.

This comes shortly after the Parks Department received a grant from the Department of Natural Resources to plant trees in underserved communities. The grant will also allow the alliance to replace invasive tree species like callary pears with native oaks.
