KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Fire Department responded to a house fire in North Knoxville around 9:15 a.m. Monday.
It happened at a home in the 1600 block of Matthews Place, according to KFD.
“Crews made entry into the home and discovered a fire in the kitchen. The fire had extended into the attic space and exterior wall,” Assistant Chief Mark Wilbanks said. “Crews worked for approximately 30 minutes to extinguish the fire. The fire had a significant head start, making it slightly more difficult to fight.”…
