Kevin Ortega, 27, and Lucas Oliveira De Mendonca, both of Marietta, are accused of trafficking six pounds of methamphetamine on Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Old Alabama and Maxham roads in Austell, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
De Mendonca was operating a 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA that failed to signal before making a right turn onto Old Alabama Road from 1956 Old Alabama Road in Austell. Ortega was found to be in possession of .10 grams of methamphetamine in his sock during a search. He was also found to be in possession of a Canik TP9 Pistol, according to the warrants.
Ortega is charged with trafficking methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine; and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony – controlled substance. He was arrested on Feb. 18 at 9:05 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
