THE HILL | The Alabama A&M softball team dropped game one of its SWAC doubleheader to Jackson State, 11-1, on Saturday afternoon at Bulldog Field, while game two was suspended and will resume at Jackson State in the top of the ninth inning.
Jackson State jumped out to an early lead, plating seven runs in the opening inning behind a series of timely hits, including a two-RBI triple and a two-run double. The Tigers added another run in the second to extend the advantage.
Alabama A&M responded in the bottom of the second inning when Ariana Montiel delivered a sacrifice fly, allowing Josefina Lacalle to score and put the Bulldogs on the board…
