ST. LOUIS – A celebration meant to bring the community together turned chaotic overnight, as multiple street takeovers across St. Louis led to nearly 200 damaged tires and left one woman injured.
Police say one of the takeovers happened near the intersection of Morgan Ford Road and Gravois Avenue in the Bevo neighborhood. Drivers blocked the intersection, performed dangerous maneuvers, and set off fireworks while crowds gathered nearby.
