WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Following a few days’ stay at a Wichita hospital for treatment for injuries sustained in a deadly crash last week near Lincoln and Topeka (just east of Lincoln and Broadway), a Wichita man is booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on an arrested charge of “murder in the second-degree: unintentional but reckless.”
Martin Tovar-Tavarez’s arrest follows the March 11 crash in which a car hit a pedestrian before colliding with a parked vehicle. Police identified the pedestrian, who died at the scene, as 55-year-old Tyrone Carter, of Newton.
