Akron repeat violent offender sentenced 16-20 years in prison

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday the sentencing of a repeat violent abuser.

32-year-old Anthony McDonald, Jr., of Akron, was sentenced 16 to 20 years in prison for felonious assault, strangulation and multiple counts of domestic violence.

A Summit County jury found McDonald guilty of the following:

  • One count of felonious assault, a second degree felony
  • One count of strangulation, a second degree felony
  • One count of strangulation, a third degree felony
  • Two counts of domestic violence, both fourth degree felonies
