CANTON ‒ A 21-year-old man was grazed by a bullet at the Wave Bar & Lounge at 1916 Cleveland Ave. NW on March 15, according to police.
According to a police account, off-duty officers who were working at the business were called inside by the owner about a possible fight near the bar. An officer found two men arguing, and started to escort one man outside.
As he approached the exit, he heard a gunshot about 10 feet behind him. Occupants stormed toward the exit. One man ran from the bar clutching his waistband, but the officer lost him in the crowd. He had not seen a gun in his hand…
