Stand-off in Schuylkill County ends with woman in custody

TAMAQUA, Pa. — A woman ordered to stay away from her husband broke into his residence Saturday in Schuylkill County, took two firearms and barricaded herself in a second-floor bedroom for more than four hours.

Alysha Marie Hartshorn remained jailed Monday at the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The standoff started around 11:20 p.m. in Tamaqua. Hartshorn, state police said, broke into her husband’s residence despite court-imposed bail conditions she stay away. Police previously arrested her in February for assault…
