New Theory Emerges in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance: Neighbor Suggests Multiple Suspects

Tucson, AZ – A neighbor of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, has put forth a new theory suggesting that more than one suspect may have been involved in her disappearance on February 1. This comes after evidence of a violent struggle was found near her front door, leading investigators to believe she was abducted from her home.

News Nation Senior Correspondent Brian Entin, who has been reporting from the scene for over 40 days, recently interviewed Guthrie’s neighbor, Laura, in a segment for “Brian Entin Investigates.” Laura revealed a crucial detail: investigators specifically reviewed her security camera footage from January 11 and January 24, though the significance of these dates remains unclear.

Laura, a resident of the Catalina Foothills, expressed skepticism that the suspect seen in doorbell camera footage-a masked individual holstering a gun-attempted to enter Guthrie’s home through the front door. She pointed to a large metal security gate blocking the entrance, which she believes would have been extremely difficult to breach if locked.

This observation led Laura to theorize that the masked individual at the front door might have been an accomplice, waiting for another person already inside the house to open the door and assist in removing Nancy. “He’s at the front door waiting for that person to open the door so that he can assist when bringing Nancy out,” Laura explained.

This hypothesis aligns with a similar belief held by former FBI agent Maureen O’Connell, who previously told Entin that Nancy was likely “carried out” of her home. O’Connell suggested that if Guthrie were unconscious, it would likely require more than one person to move her.

“I don’t believe she walked out. I believe she was carried out by two people,” O’Connell stated, referencing the blood evidence found at the scene.

She further speculated, “It’s almost like two guys carried her and her head tilted in some way shape or form and it just came out right there. Maybe she coughed a little bit or something, because it does look like that one large circle has some aspiration in there.

So that’s what I think.”

The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance continues, with these new theories shedding light on potential complexities in the case. The community remains hopeful for answers as authorities work to locate her.
