MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) — A man is being charged after assaulting a lieutenant with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, 49-year-old Christopher Robert McKinney, of Marion, has been charged with:
- Felony assault on a law enforcement officer, inflicting serious injury
- Assault on a woman
- Resisting a public officer
Deputies say he was denied bond because the incident was domestic violence-related.
