A Shelby County jury has found a Montevallo man not guilty of manslaughter in connection with the 2024 death of a 10-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle.
John David Winton was acquitted of reckless manslaughter in the death of Ember Poe following a week-long trial in Shelby County Circuit Court. The verdict was delivered Monday, March 16 after jurors began deliberations Friday.
