LOS ANGELES – Anyone planning to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday with drinks should make a transportation plan before heading out – law enforcement agencies across Los Angeles County say they will increase patrols in an effort to catch impaired drivers.
The Los Angeles Police Department said saturation patrols will begin Tuesday afternoon in several areas. The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are also expected to increase enforcement, with officers watching for drivers suspected of being under the influence.
In Burbank, police said extra officers will patrol from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday. Torrance said it planned to add officers from 5 p.m. to midnight…
