PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Providence fire officials said a veteran firefighter was seriously injured after falling down an elevator shaft on Monday.
According to officials, they responded to Dominica Manor 100 Atwells Ave. for a report of a person trapped in an elevator during a power outage.
While working to get the person out safely, the firefighter fell around 10 feet into the elevator shaft, fire officials said.
