Ørsted and Skyborn Renewables’ joint venture Revolution Wind has started delivering electricity to the New England grid, marking a major milestone for the 704 MW offshore wind project.
The wind farm, located off the coasts of Rhode Island and Connecticut, comprises 65 Siemens Gamesa SG 11.0-200 DD wind turbines. Once fully commissioned in the second half of 2026, Revolution Wind is expected to provide enough electricity to power over 350,000 homes and businesses across the two states.
