As wildfires continue to impact communities across western Nebraska, Lincoln Fire and Rescue is actively involved in fighting fires along Highway 92. A request to Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird from Governor Pillen led to 11 certified Lincoln Fire and Rescue wildfire responders being sent to the area. The group left with several vehicles and equipment Saturday evening.
