ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A 53-year-old man was arrested Friday night after police say he shot at someone’s car after an argument and fled from officers.
William Gary, of Rockford, is charged with:
- attempted murder
- aggravated discharge of a firearm
- two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon
- criminal damage to a vehicle
- unlawful possession of ammunition
- no valid FOID card
- unlawful possession of body armor
- resisting arrest
- aggravated assault to police
Just after 10:30 p.m., March 13, Rockford police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of S. Main Street.
