Gubernatorial candidate Jake Merrick running Route 66 to meet Oklahoma voters

TULSA, Okla. — The race for governor is seeing a new challenger who’s taking a different approach to running a campaign by literally running.

Jake Merrick is running for governor, and to get his message out, he’s running Route 66 to meet the people of Oklahoma.

The 66-day run will cover the entire 400-mile stretch of Route 66 here in the state.

“The goal here in this run is to get as much attention as possible for the campaign and to connect with as many people and businesses as possible,” Merrick said…
